What do I need before starting my classes at NCI as an international student?

Beginning your classes at NCI is an exciting step, and being prepared will help you make the most of it.
Use the checklist below to make sure you’ve completed everything before your classes begin..

1- Complete your setup

❑ Re-set your Password - You must complete this before activating your student email or setting up your student card.

❑ Activate and access your Student Email - This is important as the admissions team will email your student mail to confirm your photo has been accepted for your student card. Also, all communications from NCI will be sent to your student mail. See NCI video on student email.

❑ Upload photo for your Student ID card using myPicture app - Your student card will  be created by the NCI Admissions team once your photo is approved.

❑ Submit your Registration Form - All new international students must complete this form to ensure they are fully registered before starting classes.
 

2- Familiarise yourself with key information 

❑ Understand your attendance requirements - Be aware of what is expected from the start.

❑ Check the Academic Calendar - Review key dates, including term dates, holidays, and exam periods.

❑ Find your Timetable - Timetables will be available one week before classes start. We recommend that students use the myTimetable App to view their timetable.

3- Take Part in Your Welcome Programme

❑ Attend your International Welcome Meeting - Ask questions, connect with peer mentors, meet other international students and get key information about living and studying in Dublin.

❑ Attend your Orientation session - Get important information about your course, NCI systems and supports, and meet your classmates.

❑ Take part in the NCI International Welcome Programme – with a variety of events and workshops, including the highly recommended Essentials and Student Life sessions.
