International Welcome Meeting Checklist

Welcome to National College of Ireland (NCI)! We are delighted to have you here. This Welcome Meeting Checklist will help you get set up for your first few weeks at NCI. 

At your Welcome Meeting, your Peer Mentors will guide you through each step: make sure to open the links as you go.

1. Have you submitted your Registration Form?

    

2. Have you reset your password to access your student email and other NCI systems?

    

3. Do you know what events are on for this week’s Welcome Programme?​ 

   For example, do you know when the Essentials and the Student Life workshops are scheduled? 
   The Welcome Programme is now finished, but you can still access the presentation slides for the workshops above, they are very helpful!

    

4. Do you know when your Orientation is (this is when you receive your student card and programme specific information)? 

   If you missed your Orientation, there is an extra session 23rd September, 1.30pm in room 2.08.

    

5. Have you completed your feedback survey? Your opinion is valuable to us!

    

6. Do you know where to find information to help you get started?

   First, check the Your First Weeks at NCI page

   Then, visit the Support Hub for articles on more topics 

    

7. Do you know when you will receive your Immigration letter? 

   Your Immigration, Bank, PPSN, Leap Card and Welcome Letters will be emailed to your student email within 3 working days of your Welcome Meeting​. 

   Other student letters can be self-generated from 9th September 2026 (you will need to ensure you update your address on MyDetails first).

    

8. Do you know how to get help with safety & security? 

   Save the following numbers on your phone in case you ever need them:​ National emergency numbers: 112 (or 999) ​/ NCI Security: 01 449 8686
