QQI are the awarding body for all NCI Programmes, and they issue parchments for all graduands. It is a very important document that is only produced once and if it is lost or misplaced it may not be possible to get a duplicate.
When do I get my parchment?
Parchments are only available at the time of the graduation ceremony in Spring or November, and they are not available prior to this date. Please note if you have opted to exit with the postgraduate award your parchment may not be available at graduation. Please refer to this article for more information.
- Graduands who complete their programme in February will be invited to the graduation ceremony in Spring
- Graduands who complete their programme in June and Sept/October will be invited to the graduation ceremony in November
The graduation ceremony is arranged by the Registrars office and Student Services and the NCI website is updated information on graduation. Students can contact the graduation team by email at graduation@ncirl.ie.

Question: I'm living in Ireland and don’t want to/wasn't able to attend graduation?
Answer: The exams team will contact all graduands who did not attend graduation giving them the option to collect their parchment on set dates or to arrange for it to be posted to their address in Ireland.
Please ensure the Home & Mailing Address is up to date on ‘mydetails login’. Note: both the home & mailing address should be the same address.
Question: What if I my parchment is lost or not received in the post?
Answer: If Graduands do not receive their parchment in the post, they must follow up with the Exams team. If a parchment is lost, graduands may get a replacement parchment from QQI. Graduands must pay a fee for the replacement and can order this directly from QQI. For more information see the QQI website.
Question: I'm not living in Ireland anymore – can the Parchment be posted outside Ireland?
Answer: To ensure the safe delivery of Parchments they can only be sent by courier to an address outside the Republic of Ireland and there is a fee of €150 for this service.
To arrange for the courier graduands must follow this process by 31 October for November Graduation and 28 February for Spring Graduation:
❑ Update your Home & Mailing Address on ‘mydetails login’
❑ Make the payment of €150 to the NCI International Bank account.
❑ Complete the Courier Request Form and submit it to International Support via the NCI Support Hub
❑If paying by bank transfer, please send the payment receipt (TT Receipt/MT103 Receipt) with the completed Courier Form.
❑ International Support will arrange for Parchments to be sent by courier
