Exams are held at the end of each semester. You must attempt your exams at this stage.
If you do not sit your exams you are marked as ‘Not Present’ and it classed a missed attempt.
If you fail at the first attempt you have the opportunity to repeat at the repeat sitting.
Repeat by Assessment
All repeat registrations are processed by the Exams Office
There are timelines when repeat sittings are scheduled for your intake and you must follow them.
- Students that start in September sit the repeat exams in August.
- Students in the School of Computing that start in January sit the repeat exams in January.
- Students in the School of Business that start in January sit the repeat exams in the August repeat sitting following each semester.
If you do not sit your repeat exam you are marked as ‘Not Present’ which equals a ‘Fail’ which is a missed attempt.
Please note that once you have passed a module you cannot sit another repeat exam for the same to improve your grade.
Repeat by Attending
Students that are unsuccessful in passing modules in the first attempt and the repeat sitting must repeat by attending. NCI require students to repeat by attending as it gives the best chance at success.
