I have been suspended from NCI, can I stay in Ireland and renew my student visa?

Immigration expect students on a student visa (Stamp 2 or Stamp 2A) to progress in their studies and to graduate as planned.

Students who have been suspended, can no longer attend classes and progress in their studies (as they are paused), therefore they are no longer meeting immigration requirements for their student visa.  In this instance, immigration expect students to return to their home Country and to return to Ireland when they can resume their studies.

NCI cannot provide students who are suspended with a letter to renew their student visa.

Students who have completed their period of suspension and are returning to NCI, should refer to the article 'How to renew my visa?' for the process to renew their visa.
